Shirley Douglas Flack, 78, husband of Margaret Flack, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at UK-Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born January 16, 1931 in Nicholas County to the late Estil H. & Eva Holder Flack. He retired from Inland Container Corporation, Middletown, OH, and was a member of the Happy Hollow Union Church.

He is also survived by 4 sons, Raymond "Doug" (Mattie) Flack, Nick (Debbie) Flack, & Benny Flack, of Mt. Olivet, and Eddie Gene (Nancy) Flack, of Owingsville, 1 daughter, Eva Armstrong (Billy Adams), of Owingsville, a brother, Luther Flack, of Middletown, OH, a sister, Ally Lee Walker, of Lexington, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Flack Back, 2 brothers, Johnie and Earl Flack, and a sister, Dorothy Roberts.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Sunday.
