Julia Elizabeth Collins Stith, 91, widow of Joe Stith, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at her home.

She was born May 16, 1918 in Fayette Co. to the late Levi & Julie Ann Cummings Collins. She was a homemaker and member of the Carlisle Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include 3 sons, Billy Stith, Jerry Stith, Lexington, Roy Stith, Cynthiana, 3 daughters, Linda Stith Lawson, Peggy Stith (Wayne) Gay, Lexington, and Brenda Stith, Carlisle, 9 grandchildren, Bennie Joe Stith, Joe Stith, Tony Lawson, Tracy Lawson, Mark Lawson, James Small, Michael Jewel, Ann Miracle and Heather Stith, 9 great-grandchildren, Dustin Lawson, Tiffany Dray, Dylan Small, Leland Fletcher, Houston Helter, Alexie Stith, Bailey Duncan, Micah Duncan and Braden Duncan.

She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Gene, Bill and Levi Collins, 2 sisters, Bertha Rose and Gladys Garland, and a granddaughter Vanecca Lawson.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by the Rev. Garry Stith with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Nicholas County Senior Citizens.
