Virginia Mae Kiser, 65, widow of Johnnie Kiser, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Born October 14, 1949 to the late Elmer Lee & Susan Jolly Hawkins, she was a former employee of Hansley Mills and Jockey International and a member of Pleasant Valley Church of God, where she was active with the Missionary Ladies.

Survivors include her son: Irvin (Olivia) Hawkins, of Carlisle; 3 grandsons: Andrew, John Thomas and Jacob Hawkins; 4 brothers: Irvin, Rondall & Roy Hawkins, all of Carlisle, and Gary Hawkins, of Fleming County; a sister: Linda Hendricks, of Mt. Olivet, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Marion "Pete" Hawkins, and 4 sisters: Charlotte Hawkins, Brenda Smith, Ann Asbury and Eva Fitzwater.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Greg Tucker with burial following in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday.
