Bernice Lucille "Pete" George, 100, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for several years.

Born November 17, 1914 in Nicholas County, she was the last surviving child of the late William & Leora Scott George.

Pete is survived by several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Bertha Baker.

Also preceding her in death were 5 brothers, Elgin, Walter, James, Harrison & Adrian George and 3 sisters, Alma Johnson, Leona Freeman & Frances Berry.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mathers-Gaunce FH by Rev. Gaylord Gillispie. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home Activities Fund.

Gail I'm so sorry for your lost, mom loved Bernice,I remember mom going after her to come to spend the day at our house she was a very sweet lady ,again ,I'm so sorry .
