That Haney Lean

I can’t think of Mike Haney without thinking about that Haney lean. When we were young and Mike’s dad would go by the house we always made fun of the way he sat in the truck seat. Always looked as if his right elbow was sitting in the middle of the truck seat. That Haney lean……… It tended to show up when he drove a tractor, leaning on the right fender. That Haney lean……. It was evident when he drove a car. That Haney lean…….
Mike came along driving tractors at first. That Haney lean……. When he drove a car. That Haney lean……. When he drove a truck. That Haney lean……. Lo and behold, he started dating my close cousin Marsha Lyons. Our first thought when she was in the vehicle with him; That Haney lean……. We became friends and the Haney lean was an often topic of discussion. You never saw him shine until he was in the JW Ecton red LTD convertible……….. That Haney lean…….
I grieved much when Marsha passed and I know he suffered more. I can now express they done well. Both their sons are Haney’s to the core. Each in his own way has “ That Haney lean…….”
