Cecil Ray Wagoner, Jr., 91, husband of the late June Anderson Wagoner, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehab Facility.

Born May 2, 1928 in Nicholas County to the late Cecil Ray, Sr. & Nancy Clay Smith Wagoner, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a retired employee of Jockey International, a lifelong farmer and member of the Blue Licks Christian Church. Ray achieved the distinction of being a 70-year Mason and was a member of Blue Licks Lodge #495 F. & A.M., Amity Lodge #40 F. & A.M. and Dougherty Lodge #65 F. & A.M.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Carol Taylor (Skip Bowen), of Brooksville, and Karen (Kenny) Cartmill, of Florence; a son, Brian (Megan) Wagoner, of Nicholas County; 10 brothers & sisters: Bill Wagoner, Betty Guthrie, Jewel Humphries, Vernon Wagoner, Wanda Wagoner, Mack Wagoner, Jim Wagoner, Jerry Wagoner, Brenda Watkins and Rick Wagoner; 4 grandchildren: Hannah (Nick) Burkhardt, Cris Cartmill, Caleb Taylor and Isla Claire Wagoner; and 2 great-granddaughters: Madison June & Emma Elizabeth Burkhardt.

Also preceding him in death were 2 brothers, Deanie & Maurice Wagoner, and a sister, Joy Buckler.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Blue Licks Christian Church by Bro. Jeremy Cantrell. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the church with Masonic Rites at 7:00 P.M.
