Bonnie Louise George Minton, 92, wife of the late Manford Paul Minton, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

A native of Nicholas County born to the late Thomas & Flossie Shields George, she was former employee of Parker Seal, a retired employee of Jockey International, a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Myers Christian Church.

Surviving are 3 sons: Michael Minton (Camille Jennings), of Carlisle, Dennis (Ann) Minton, of Summers Point, New Jersey, and Steve (Paula) Minton, of Lexington; 6 grandchildren: Ashley (Kyle) Hopfensperger, Melissa (Anthony) Jordan, Bradley (Ashley) Minton, Brian (Kera) Minton, Lizzie Minton and Michael (Stephanie) Minton, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers: Rondall Thomas & Jerry Whayne George, and 3 sisters: Eunice Bromagen, Leona Trussell and Jean McCarthy.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 25, 2019 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Gaylord Gillispie with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday with a VFW Auxiliary service at 7:00 P.M.

Our condolences. A great neighbor for years when we lived in First street and the Minton were on Sycamore Hill sharing a rock wall we built together
