Alice Faye Clary Purcell, 72, widow of David Glenn Purcell went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 14, 2014.

Born March 12, 1941in Nicholas Co. to the late N.D. and Florence Clary she was an employee of Jockey International for 33 years and was an active member and Sunday school teacher at The New Beginnings Church of Carlisle for 44 years.

Besides her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her daughter Glenna Fay.

She is survived by her grand-daughter, Renee (John) Mola and their children, Riley and Isaac; brother, Wallace (Sue) Clary, his daughter, Leisa (Greg) Peyton and their children Lindsey and Alex; mother-in-law, Emogene Purcell; sister-in-law, Tommie Bowles and her daughter Patricia Crump; sister–in-law, Kathy (Dale) Gray; 3 brother-in-laws, Paul (Bonnie) Purcell, Larry (Connie) Purcell, Dwight Purcell and their families.

Services will be 1:00 P.M, Saturday, February 22 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday.
