Alice Catherine Denton, 88, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Bourbon Community Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1924 in Fleming Co. to the late William S. & Lettie Lee Jolly Mitchell, was a devoted homemaker and babysitter and member of the Carlisle Christian Church.

Survivors include a son Calvin R. (Melanie) Denton, Carlisle, a daughter Judy (Wayne) Livingood, Carlisle, 2 sisters, Frances Purcell, Maysville, & Betty Mitchell, Paris, 9 grandchildren, Calvin R. Denton, Jr., William Denton, Rebecca Highfield, Greg Bloomfield, Stephanie Bullock, Stephen Bloomfield, Jason Bloomfield, Sheila Fryman & Derrick Livingood, 3 step-granddaughters, Kari Robinson, Kristie Gifford & Katie Zornes, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter Paulette Bloomfield, 5 brothers, Elgin, Arlie, Edward, Ray & Richard Mitchell and a sister Virginia Cartmill.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
