Allen Lynn Bowles, 75, husband of Tommie Purcell Bowles, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He was born January 11, 1937 in Nicholas County to the late John & Emma Kash Minton Bowles, was a retired carpenter with over 30 years of service to the W. Rogers Company, and member of the Blue Licks Christian Church.

Other survivors include a daughter, Patricia Crump, of Lancaster, a sister, Mary Ruth Gray, of Carlisle, a grandson, Timmy Crump (Leslie Johnson) and great-grandson, Bentley Allen Crump, of Carlisle, a niece, Angie Dailey, and 2 nephews, Phillip Bowles & Keith Bowles, all of Carlisle, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Bowles, and a grandson, Kash Crump.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Sam Chanslor & Rev. James Gaunce with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
