Ann G. Harper, 82, widow of Robert G. Harper died Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

She was born May 28, 1926 in Cynthiana, Ky. to the late Stanley & May Legge Galbraith. She was a former City Clerk of Carlisle, a retired employee of Mallinckrodt, Inc. and served as chairperson of the Nicholas Co. Hospital Board for 17 years.

Survivors include a son, Given (Jean) Harper, Normal, Illinois, 2 daughters, May Ann Harper (Bob) Caggiano, Boston, Mass., & Mary Jane Hatton, Carlisle, 7 grandchildren, Harper Hatton, Summer Peel, Noelle & Andrew Harper and Nick, Sam & Emily Caggiano, 2 nieces Liza Fuller & Mary Muller and 2 nephews, Stan & Jim Galbraith.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday.
