Ben "Sonny" Rogers, 79, loving husband of Julie Metzger Rogers died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Nicholas Co. Hospital.

He was born October 30, 1927 at Wallins Creek (Harlan Co.) Ky. and had formerly lived in Louisville, Kentucky & Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired restauranteur.

Other survivors include 3 children, Carole Jean (Peter) McHugh &Ben (Frankie) Rogers, Jr., Louisville and Sonya (Frank) Gugliotta, Bicknell, Indiana, 2 step-children, Aleah (David) Angstrom, Lexington & Eric (Dina) Metzger, Louisville, 11 grandchildren, Julie George, Tripp, Stephen & Lindsey Rogers, Chelsea, Richard & Maria Gugliotta, Audrey & Evan Angstrom and Axl & Luca Metzger, and 2 great-grandchildren, Mickey & Max George.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ida Howard Rogers and a brother Elmer Rogers.

Private family services were held.
