Betty Jo Scott Kearney, 84, died November 8, 2011 in Lexington.

She was born September 15, 1927 to the late Robert Clay and Nora Lee Snelling Scott in Carlisle, Kentucky.

She is survived by her son Bill (Susie) Kearney, her grandson Mike (Kristen) Davis, her sister Patsy (Archie) Cox and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings Marguerite, Lottie, Tommy, Carolyn, Helen and Donald.

She loved her family and she will be remembered fondly for her intelligence, interest in events of the world and kindness to those she cared for.

Special thanks to the staff at Mayfair Manor for their care over the last 32 months.

Services will be 2:30 P.M. Friday, November 11, 2011 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home in Carlisle, Kentucky by Rev. James Gaunce with burial following the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. Friday.
