Billie Brady Ockerman, 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

A lifelong resident of Nicholas County, she was born September 22, 1924 to the late William Thomas & Margaret Herndon Brady, was a longtime employee of Dr. Allen Hamon, a lifetime member of the Marie Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and member of the Blue Licks Christian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon O. Irvin, Amelia, Ohio, a son, Tom (Patty) Ockerman, Nicholas County, 2 brothers, Henry Brady, Burlington, & Marion Brady, Tuscon, Arizona, 3 grandchildren, Logan (Stephen) Minning, Amelia, Ohio, Lindsay (Josh) Fryman, Nicholas County, & Michael (Katie) Ockerman, Independence, and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by Chester Ockerman, 2 brothers, James & Gayle Brady, and 2 sisters, Millie Frances Brady & Rachel McCord.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Carlisle Cemetery by Rev. Steve Smith.
