Billy F. Prather, 85, widower of Bertie Elizabeth McQueen Prather passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his home.

He was born September 21, 1924 in Nicholas Co. to the late Benjamin Franklin Prather & Lillian Andrews Prather and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include a son, Dale (Debbie) Prather, Lexington, 2 daughters, Patricia Black & Mona Lisa Prather, Carlisle, a daughter-in-law, Linda Prather, Carlisle, a sisters, Jeanie Alcorn, Lexington, 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Markland, Roxiane Smith, Johnnie B. Covington, Lucinda Humphries & Corey, Benny, Chris & Allison Prather and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Prather and a son-in-law, Donald Black.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday April 26 at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Darrell Sexton. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday
