Cavanaugh Booth, 71, husband of Mary Louise Howard Booth, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Nicholas County Hospital.

He was born June 29, 1941 in Bath County to the late Goble Alonzo & Anna Willoughby Booth, was a retired employee of Jockey International, a member of the Mountain Assembly of God and also attended God's House of Prayer.

Also surviving are a son, Kevin Booth and his wife, Betty Jo; a daughter, Kathleen "Tabby" Jones and her husband, Timmy; a brother, Elmer Booth and his wife, Sue, all of Carlisle; two sisters, Margie Carson, of Carlisle, & Rosie Hunt, of Owingsville; five granddaughters, Alexis & Ava Jones, Myla Grace Booth, Jessica Rison & Jennifer Marcum; two great-grandchildren, Lindsee & Michah Rison; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Booth, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Alonzo Booth.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Phillip Mattox, Pastor Wayne Gifford and Bro. Bobby Stone. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday.
