Darrell Wayne "Bugs" Flora, 59, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Born August 7, 1965 in Nicholas County, he was former truck driver and a long-time diesel mechanic for Ryder, Walters Truck Repair & Roeder Cartage, and was a member of St. Andrews Lodge #18 F. & A.M.  Bugs was known for his joyful and outgoing personality. He had a passion for pulling trucks and enjoyed camping with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Sue Sorrell Flora; daughters, Chaya Kathryn (Bryan) Hopkins and Chenoa Dawn Flora: and 4 grandchildren: Joedan Thomas Wayne Hopkins, Jasper Allen Hopkins, Aris Alexander Kearns and Patience LeighAnn Kearns, along with a large extended family.

Also preceding him in death were his father, William Wayne "Bill" Flora, and a brother & sister, Daniel Allen & Misty Marie Flora.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 17th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Pastor Ruby Perraut with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. Masonic rites will be held immediately prior to the funeral.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services.
