Elizabeth Wilcoxson Mathers, 95, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

She was born April 20, 1911 in Nicholas Co. to the late Grant & Rebecca Herndon Wilcoxson, was a member of Marie Chapter O.E.S. and the Carlisle Christian Church where she was a member of the Twilight Council.

She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Charlton McFarland & Marion Mathers, a son, Robert C. McFarland and 2 grandchildren, Robert Charlton & Ann Charlton McFarland.

Survivors include 2 grandchildren, Daryl McFarland, Lexington & Amy McFarland (Jeff) Hamilton, Carlisle, a step-son, Taylor (Eula) Mathers, Carlisle, a daughter-in-law Faye McFarland, Carlisle, 3 great-grandchildren, Ashley Ann McFarland, Morgan Elizabeth & Jeffrey Tyler Hamilton and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Friday.
