Floyd Wayne Bussell, 64, husband of Betty Kerns Bussell died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at VA Medical Center-Cooper Drive.

He was born June 21, 1943 in Nicholas Co. to the late Gobel & Sarah Elizabeth Sapp Bussell, was a U.S. Army veteran, a former loan officer in Paris & Cynthiana,a member of the American Legion and was a member of Carlisle First Christian Church.

Other survivors include 3 sons, Michael (Elizabeth )Mattox, Frenchburg, Kirk (Adelaide) Mattox, Paris & Bradley Bussell, Lexington, 3 daughters, Marsha Mattox, Lexington, Christel Roberts, Carlisle & Angela Snyder, Anadale Virginia, 3 brothers, Harold Bussell, Carlisle, J.C. Bussell, Utah & Harvey Bussell, Maysville, 1 sister, Shirley Mitchell, Carlisle and 8 grandchildren, Blake Roser, Ben Mattox, Paige Livingood, Lainey Mattox, Michael Reid, Conner Wayne Roberts, Joseph Mattox and Ryan Snyder.

He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday.
