Gary Gene Gaunce, 76, husband of the late Emily Gray Gaunce, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Born November 5, 1946 in Bourbon County to the late Bruce Donald & Clara Edith Berry Gaunce, he served in the Kentucky Army National Guard and was a retired employee of AT&T. Gary loved to stay busy; he enjoyed farming, working on his trucks & farm equipment and spending time with his family, especially his great-grandson, K.P.

Surviving are a son, Todd Gaunce; a grandson, Isaiah (Macie) Gaunce; a great-grandson, Kason Parker "K.P." Gaunce; a sister, Marilyn (Ron) Feeback; an aunt, Willa Sue Tanner; an uncle, Jimmie Gaunce; a niece, Stephanie Betts; a nephew, Jason Donald McCarty; and his mother-in-law, Betty Jean Gray.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patty McCarty Herron.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 3rd at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Rodney Pollitt. Burial with military honors will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
