Helen Marie Capps Minton, 87, wife of the late J.B. Minton, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Born April 21, 1935 in Moorefield, Kentucky to the late Mack & Opal Clavell Capps, she was a 1954 graduate of Carlisle High School, cooked for many years at Jockey International, North Central 4-H Camp and the Moorefield Store, ran Liver's Laundromat for several years and was a member of the Carlisle Christian Church.  Helen loved gardening, watching game shows, traveling with her friends and playing bingo.

Surviving are 2 sons, Larry Minton & Billy Minton, both of Carlisle; 4 grandchildren: Jason (Sheila) Minton, Julie Minton, Steven (Danielle) Minton and Josh Minton; 7 great-grandchildren: Ryan Minton, Morgan & Madison Bussell, Owen & Maggie Minton and Avery & Ellie Minton; and a host of nieces & nephews.

Also preceding her in death were 4 brothers, Tom, Earl, Stanley Robert & Wayne Capps, and 2 sisters, Peg Livingood & Mary Catherine Huffman.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 29th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.

Following the funeral service, a meal will be held at the Nicholas County Fire Department, 250 South Walnut Street, Carlisle, Kentucky 40311.
