Houston Watkins, 82, widower of Jeanetta Jefferson Watkins, died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

He was born March 17, 1925 in Nicholas Co. to the late Leonard & Inez Cox Watkins and was a retired employee of the Nicholas Co. Road Department.

Survivors include 4 sons, Billy Wayne Watkins, Cowan, Jerry & Davie Watkins, Carlisle & Jimmy Lee Watkins, Millersburg, 3 brothers, Sanford, Foster & Melvin Watkins, Carlisle, 3 sisters, Rosie Myers, Billie Gray & Patty Jefferson, Carlisle 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Alvin Eckler. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday.
