Jackie William Pollard, 76, husband of Lula Burgess Pollard, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Georgetown Community Hospital.

Born February 17, 1939 in Franklin Co. to the late Charlie & Alice Murrell Pollard, he was a former employee of the Ladish Company, a longtime security guard for several area horse farms and was currently employed by Murray Guard at AICHI. His years on the horse farms only strengthening his admiration of horses, Jackie loved to spend his free time riding horses and motorcycles.

Other survivors include his children: Rose (Tim) Carter, Wendell Pollard, April (Jimbo) Davis & Jacinda (Brad) Morris, all of Cynthiana, and Yoko Pollard of Georgetown; a brother, Henry Pollard, of Carlisle; 3 sisters: Sarah Pollard & Janie Wasson, of Carlisle, and Anna Belle Morris, of Mt. Sterling: 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were a son- Roy Lee Pollard and 2 brothers- Ira Pollard & Larry Pollard.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
