James Daniel "Jay" Tincher, 36, of Owingsville, formerly of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. Joseph-Mt.Sterling.

A Nicholas County native, Jay was born October 7, 1977. He enjoyed working on cars, was an avid Facebook user and a devoted dog lover. Jay never met a stranger, some of his best times were spent hanging out and talking with friends old and new. He was a dedicated father-figure to his fiancée's children, who he loved as his own.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Medley Tincher, of Carlisle; his father, Danny Tincher, of Owingsville; his sister, Lynn Tincher, of Carlisle; his fiancée, Joanie Martin, and her children, Chyenne Copley, Marcella Copley and Brandon Martin, of Owingsville; and special friends, Lori, George, Nora & Dawson Walden and Phillip & Connie Howard.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 24, 2014 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Tony Smith with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from Noon Monday until the time of service.
