James Albert Standiford, Jr., 84, of Blue Licks, husband for 61 years of the late Charlette Henson Standiford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2015.

Born December 22, 1930 in Nicholas County to the late J.A. "Bud" & Thelma Sampson Standiford, Jim was a retiree of IBM where he worked over 33 years as an engineer, was a lifelong farmer and a newly baptized member of the Hilltop Christian Church.

Surviving him are two sons: Larry J. (Elaine) Standiford, of Richmond, and Stephen D. (Martha) Standiford, of Paris; his 5 grandchildren: L.J. Standiford, Kimberly (Matt) Hoskins, Andrew Standiford, William Standiford and Adam (Amanda) Standiford; and his 2 great-grandchildren: Alex & Jacob Hoskins.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Sam Chanslor. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of service.
