Janice Marie Purcell, 56, wife of Frankie Purcell, Sr., died Wednesday October 28, 2009 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

A native of Fayette Co. she was born October 30, 1952, was a former employee of Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home and attended Locust Grove Baptist Church.

Other survivors include her mother Vernis Tolson Jenkins, Lexington, 2 sons, Frankie (Nina) Purcell, Jr., Flemingsburg & Lucas Purcell, Carlisle, a daughter, Natasha Jenkins, Corinth, 5 brothers, George, Gary & Wayne Jenkins, Lexington, Ray Jenkins, Paris & Jim Jenkins, Shelbyville, 3 sisters, Beverly Conkright, Paris, Viola Shanklin, Lexington & Donna Conway, Cynthiana, 3 grandchildren, Dakota Vance, Tanner Purcell & Bianca Black and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Woodrow Jenkins, a daughter Martha Louise Purcell and a brother Jackie Jenkins.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 31 at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Ronnie Harpe. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4:00 P.M. Friday.
