Jessie Clarence "J.C." Davis, 83, of Paris, husband of the late Alma Marie Hamilton Davis, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his home.

Born November 5, 1931 in Nicholas County to the late Marion Thomas & Maggie Parsons Davis, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, former owner and meat-cutter at Bourbon Co. Packing, and member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Debra Davis and Barbara (Edward) Lester, both of Paris; 2 grandchildren, Mark (Shelby) Scott and Stephanie (Brad) Scott-Tucker, a great-granddaughter, Kaillee Scott, and an expected great-granddaughter, due in March, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death was a brother, Roy Allen Davis.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Sam Chanslor. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Friday until the time of service.
