Jennie Elizabeth Tedder Shrout, 98, widow of Douglas Shrout, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Presbyterian Medical Center in Matthews, North Carolina.

She was born August 3, 1914 in Nicholas County a daughter of the late Liehue & Elizabeth Davenport Tedder, was a devoted homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Carlisle.

Survivors include a son, Charles (Tobyann) Shrout, Charlotte, North Carolina, a daughter, Carol Lee (A.P.) Hearon, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a sister, Mary Emma Patton, Carlisle, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday June 7 in the Carlisle Cemetery Chapel with burial to follow.

There will be no visitation.
