Jessie Lee Trussell Capps Martin, loving mother and grandmother, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, August 15, 2015 at the age of 64 years old.

Jessie loved her family and wanted to be involved in every aspect of their lives, including sports activities of the great-grandchildren. She was their biggest fan.

Family left to cherish the memories of Jessie are a daughter, Carol (Clarence) Workman, a son, James (Verna) Petitt, both of Carlisle; two step-daughters, Crystal (Mark) Terrell & Amanda (Gary) Jones, both of Lexington; 5 brothers, 4 sisters, 6 grandchildren: Rebecca Gates, Jessica Workman, Kimberly Workman, Sigh Petitt, Joyce Petitt and Logan Petitt; and 7 great-grandchildren: Carter Marcum, Hayden Thompson, Kinsee Feeney, Braydon Roberts, Aubrey Petitt, Kolton Petitt and Lily Sue Christopher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Roger Cundiff Trussell, a daughter, Joyce Petitt Roberts, a brother, Robert Trussell, two sisters, Maddie B. & Linda Lou Trussell, and a great-grandson, Braxton Jolly.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Jim Caswell. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
