James Allen "Jimmy" Walker, 75, husband of Sandra Brierly Walker, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Born July 15, 1945 in Nicholas County, he was a 1963 graduate of Carlisle High School, a retired employee o f Jockey International and member of the Carlisle Christian Church. Jimmy gave of himself freely in service through involvement as a former member of the Jaycees, as Past Master of Doughtery Lodge #65 F.& A.M. and as a devoted Little League Basketball coach for many years. He was also named an Honorable Kentucky Colonel.

Additional survivors include a son, Kevin (Libby) Walker; 2 step-children: Erica Brierly (Brad Logan) and Greg Brierly; 6 grandchildren: Kevin (Natasha) Walker, II, Kristopher Walker, Mary Walker, Morgan Padgett, Korbin Mitchell and Aiden Brierly; and 4 great-grandchildren: Jaylynn, Devin & Brantley Walker and Miller McCall.

His mother, Pauline "Polly" Bussell Walker Wells, and step-father, James A. Wells, preceded him in death.

Private graveside services will take place in the Carlisle Cemetery.
