John A. "Johnny" Caswell, 61, husband of Janna Hobbs Caswell, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at his home.

He was a native of Nicholas Co. born on August 22, 1947 to the late Henry Clay & Carolyn Sexton Caswell, was a lifelong farmer, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Daugherty Lodge #65 F.& A.M. and a member and Deacon of Carlisle Christian Church

Other survivors include 3 daughters, Beth (Andrew) Harrison, Julie (Wade) DeRossett and Jennifer (Jeremy) Cantrell, all of Carlisle, a brother, Jim (Kathy) Caswell, Carlisle, 2 sisters, Carol Clay (Ronnie) Wills, Lexington & Sandy Davis, Carlisle, 5 grandchildren, Amber, Lauren & Matthew Harrison and Abby & Ellie DeRossett, and a close friend, Judy Judge.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial with military honors will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church.
