Katherine Mynear Roundtree, 99, wife of the late Shelby Roundtree, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at her home in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Born November 18, 1926 in Nicholas County to the late Taylor & Dora Gaunce Mynear, she was a 1946 graduate of Headquarters High School and a devoted homemaker. Katherine maintained her lifelong membership to the Rose Hill Methodist Church, where she had served as president of their United Methodist Women for many years. During her time in Indiana, she attended Bright Christian Church.

Surviving are her niece and devoted caregiver, Lillian (late-Bill) Hoover of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, along with several other nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were 6 brothers: Cecil, Spencer, Charlie, Robert, Otis & James Mynear; and 2 sisters, Edna Wagoner and Gladys Mynear.

Services will be 12:00 Noon Monday, August 31st at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Pastor Tom Taylor and Danny Curtis with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be John Argo, Jarrett Curtis, Ryan Curtis, Donnie Mynear, Doug Mynear, Ronnie Mynear and Will Mynear.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Monday until the time of service.
