Lois Ockerman, 83, widow of Innis Ockerman died Friday, December 19, 2008 at Nicholas Co. Hospital.

She was born June 20, 1925 in Nicholas Co. to the late William Alven & Mildred Weaver Seamands. She was a former member of the Nicholas Co. Homemaker, a member of the Johnson-Mathers Health Care Auxillary and a member of Carlisle Christian Church.

Survivors include 2 sons, Steve ( Dorcas) Ockerman, Carlisle, Tim (Jeanne) Ockerman, Alexandria, Virginia, a daughter, Trish (Gary) Stone, Carlisle, a sister, Sara (John) Gretz, Lexington, 5 grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) Sowell, Brian (Jenny) Ockerman, Brad (Shellie) Stone, Matt Stone and Daniel Ockerman and 5 great-grandchildren Chad Ockerman, Samantha Sowell, Sydney & Lillee Grace Stone and Kylie Ockerman.

She was also preceded in death by a sister Virginia R. Stinson.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 22 at Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be John Gretz, Chad, Brian & Tom Ockerman, Mike Sowell and Matt Stone.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
