Lorene Snapp, 85, wife of Raymond C. Snapp, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

She was born June 10, 1922 in Rowan Co. to the late William & Anna Fryman Tackett and was a member of Shady Dale Baptist Church.

Other survivors include 2 sons, Larry E. (Bonnie) Snapp & Ray A. (Edith) Snapp, Carlisle, a daughter, Peggy Cameron Lexington, a brother James Tackett, Wallingford, 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Elder Paul Trautner. Burial will follow in Barterville Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday.
