Mae Dayton Owens, 97, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Lexington Country Place.

She was born October 4, 1910 and reared in Pleasant Valley, Nicholas Co., a daughter of the late William Garrett Dayton and Sallie Mason Dayton. She was a member of Dayton's Chapel Church of God, Pleasant Valley, an affiliate of the Church God, headquartered in Anderson, Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Herman, Clinton,Ray & her twin Clay, a sister, Ruth Dayton, and 3 nephews, W.C., Paul & Herman Dayton.

Survivors include a daughter, Sylva (Gary) Flora, Niceville, Florida, 3 nieces, Nona Hamm, Sally Dayton & Rita (Dwaine) Green, 2 nephews, Jack (Ruth) Dayton & Bill (Mae) Dayton and many great and great-great nieces and nephews from Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Texas and California.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Dayton's Chapel Church by Bro. Howard Briggs. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H.
