Mary Margaret Reynolds Hunter, 83, widow of William E. Hunter passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.

Born February 7, 1930 in Scott Co. to the late J.L. Reynolds & Lucille Ireland Reynolds Courtney, Margaret dedicated herself to a life of service for her community. She worked 34 years as Assistant Director for Rural Programs in Nicholas, Bourbon & Harrison Counties for the Community Action Agency and also served on the Nicholas County Hospital Board, the Bluegrass Area Development District Council, the Nicholas County Extension Council and Senior Citizens Council during that time, as well as being a member of the Nicholas County Historical Society and a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle.

Survivors include a son, William "Billy Ray" Hunter, Carlisle, 2 daughters, Rita H. (Richard) Smart, Richmond & Judy Baugh, Berea, 5 grandchildren, Christopher Hunter, Jenny (Brian) Ockerman, Angela (Tolen) Penn, Ashley (Matt) Tabb & John Baugh, 6 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor & Coleson Penn, Courtney & Caroline Tabb & Kylie Ockerman, a nephew Michael Reynolds and a niece Jennifer Dwiggins.

She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Gayle Heath & Kenneth Reynolds, her son-in-law Mike Baugh and a niece Mary Lou Bryant.

Services were 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 19 at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. in Carlisle by Rev. Kevin Thomas & Dr. Glenn Birkett. Burial was in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
