Margaret Hardwrick Shields, 58, wife of Wayne Shields, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at her home.

Born September 5, 1956 in Nicholas County to the late Earl Thomas & Edna Christine Caywood Hardwrick, she was a longtime employee of Easy Gardener, a loving mother and grandmother and devoted member of FaithPointe Lexington.

Also surviving are a son: Travis (Laci) Shields, of Carlisle; 2 step-daughters: Tara Lee  (David) Stanhope, of Lexington, and Thereasa Lynn Shields, of Carlisle; 2 brothers: Jim (Marie) Hardwrick & Paul Allen (Jan) Hardwrick, both of Carlisle; and 6 grandchildren: Ryan & Brandon Stoker, Tanner & Wes Sapp, and Skyler Wayne & Tori Lynn Shields.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Buckler, and an infant son, Robert Allen Hardwrick.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Pastor Terry Lewis. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
