Obituary

Marjory Allen "Marge" Miller Burnaw, 91, beloved wife of 64 years to Fred Lee Burnaw, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus.

Born September 8, 1930 in Nicholas County to the late Walter P. & Christine Green Miller, she was a 1948 graduate of Headquarters High School where she was a cheerleader, worked in many positions for 32 years at the First National Bank (now Whitaker Bank), was a member of the Headquarters Homemakers and a Red Hatter.  Marge attended the Barterville United Methodist Church during her early youth and later became a devoted member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women. A true Christian lady, she faithfully served others in their time of need, often with a casserole in hand.

Also surviving are 2 cousins, Kathy Green, of Carlisle, and Dwaine (Rita) Green, of The Villages, Florida; and a nephew, Bill (Chris) Burnaw, of Norton Shore, Michigan.

Services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, September 6th at the Carlisle United Methodist Church by Rev. James Doughton, Pastor Denise Wallace and Rev. Laura Barkley. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of service.
