Marsha Reid Lyons Haney, of Carlisle, 49, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Marsha was born to Ewell Roberts "Bud" and Nancye Ellen Reid Lyons on September 9, 1965 in Nicholas County. Marsha was a 1983 graduate of Nicholas County High School, and later Morehead State University and McKendree College of Louisville where she earned her R.N. and B.S.N., respectively. At Morehead, she was cited for academic excellence in the nursing program. A respected nurse for many years in the Eastern Kentucky area, Marsha obtained certifications in several areas including Geriatric Nursing, Infection Control and Employee Health. She owned and operated Memories and More Photography in Carlisle for five years, was on the Nicholas County Health Department Board and was an active member of the NCHS Band Boosters. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, photography, attending high school band events and spending time with her family.

Marsha was born into the Moorefield United Methodist Church, but was currently of the Carlisle Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her husband, Mike Haney, her two sons, Seth Roberts Haney and Ross Michael Haney, her brother Rob (Kim) Lyons, her sister Kathy Rainey and her niece and nephew, Katie and Nathan Rainey.

Services will be conducted at 10:00am on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Carlisle Presbyterian Church by Bro. Jimmy Caswell. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm-8:00pm Sunday at the church.
