Mary Gladys DeRossett, 62, of Versailles, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Baptist Health Lexington.

She was born December 3, 1950 in Prestonsburg to Emmogene Hughes DeRossett, of Versailles, and the late Wadegreen DeRossett. Mary achieved an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University, her B.S.N. at the University of Kentucky, an M.S.N. from Spaulding University and was a retired Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with the Veterans Administration in Lexington. She enjoyed reading, shopping, baking and was an accomplished seamstress.

Also surviving are a brother, Grant (Sandy) DeRossett, of Lexington, an adopted granddaughter, AC 2 ^nd Class (USN) Meagan DeRossett, 2 nephews, Norman Lee Bowers & Wade Green (Julie) DeRossett, II, a niece, Gretchen (David) Games, 7 great-nieces and nephews, Corey & Katie Bennett, Whitley, Miranda & Gavin Games, and Abby & Ellie DeRossett.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lois Ann DeRossett Bowers, and an infant sister.

Services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday, May 13, 2013 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Bro. Jimmy Caswell.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service.
