Mary Margaret Hutchings, 83, of Dearborn, Michigan, formerly of Carlisle died Tuesday October 10, 2006.

She was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Carlisle to the late Grace Tandy Hutchings & Stanley Hutchings, was a graduate of Carlisle High School, a graduate of Transylvania University and received her masters degree from the University of Kentucky. She taught at Trenton High School in Trenton, Michigan for 25 years and her main advocation was traveling. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Birmingham, Michigan and was a member of Paris Marie Chapter O.E.S.

In 1997 she established the Hutchings-Tandy Memorial Scholarship fund at Transylvainia University in memory of her parents and grandparents.

Survivors include a brother Rev. Keith T. (Katherine) Hutchings, Jacksonville, Illinois, a niece, Nancy Rogers, Columbus, Ohio, 2 nephews William S. Hutchings, Homassa, Florida & Ronald K. Hutchings, Tuscon, Arizona, and a special friend, Kathryn J. Huron, Dearborn, Michigan.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday October 14 in the Carlisle Cemetery by Rev. James Doughton

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hutchings-Tandy Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Transylvania University.
