Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Jones Garrett, 99, widow of Paul Garrett, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at Central Baptist Hospital.

She was born December 2, 1913 in Barren County to the late Robert Edward & Minnie Watson Jones and was a member of Carlisle Christian Church. In 1952, along with her husband, Ms. Lib opened Garrett's Furniture in Carlisle, where she worked until her death. Her bright smile greeted everyone who came into the store.

She is survived by her son, Paul Douglas Garrett and his wife, Jacqueline, her daughter, Jo Lynn Garrett, a grandson, Anthony Wayne Hedrick and a granddaughter, Ashton Markland, all of Carlisle.

Also preceding her in death were a grandson, Billy Joe Garrett, 2 brothers, Paul Edward Jones & Earl Clay Jones, 3 sisters, Martha Burnam Feeback, Christine Watson Jones & Mable Moss Allen, and a daughter-in-law, Joredda McDonald Garrett.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith and Bro. Jimmy Caswell with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church.
