Mary Elizabeth Graves Minton, 77, widow of Sylvester Tivis "S.T." Minton, Jr. passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

She was born March 2, 1933 in Bourbon Co. to the late Sanford & Maggie Curtis Graves.

She was a 1951 graduate of Bourbon Co. High School, a former employee of Bluegrass Industries, a longtime devoted & loving babysitter and a member of First Baptist Church of Carlisle.

Survivors include a son, Daniel Tivis (Paula) Minton, a daughter, Melanie Beth (Anthony) Watkins, Carlisle, 2 brothers, Billy & S.C. Graves, Paris and 3 grandchildren Nathaniel Tivis & Mason Arthur Minton & Dylan Houston Watkins, a great-granddaughter, Emma Klaire Minton and a special friend Wayne Berry.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson Carter DeWayne Minton, and brothers and sisters, Joe, Herbert & Glenn Graves, Pauline Graves Martin, Roberta Graves Coleman, Myrtle Jean Graves Shannon, Cleota Graves & Jesse Graves.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Thursday.
