Minerva Shrout "Pickie" Hovermale, 92, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at her home.

She was born March 27, 1917 in Nicholas Co. to the late Robert and Ina Hammonds Shrout and was a member of Carlisle Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Walter "Bus" Hovermale on December 27, 2008.

Survivors include, a son, Don H. (Linda) Hovermale, four grandchildren, Donna (Gary) Peevler, Sandi (Jeff) Bailey, Julie Hovermale and Adam M. (Emily) Hovermale, 7 great-grandchildren, Cole & Lauren Peevler, Tyler & Brooke Bailey, Daniel Will, Adam M."A.J." Hovermale, Jr. and Austin Hovermale

She was also preceded in death by a grandson Matthew Howard Hovermale, 2 brothers, Gano "Diddy" & Raymond Shrout, and a sister, Gertrude Vice.

Graveside services were held on December 26, 2009 in Carlisle Cemetery by Rev. Julian Hammonds.
