Naomi Ruth Purcell, 96, wife of the late Marion D. Purcell, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Hurstbourne Care Centre at Stony Point in Louisville.

Born July 6, 1918 in Nicholas Co. to the late Thurman and Susie Caswell Gaunce, she was a devoted homemaker, had been a care-giver for the elderly and was a life-long Methodist.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Berry of Louisville, a brother Jimmie Gaunce, a sister Willa Sue Tanner, 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a son Billy Purcell, 2 brothers, Paul & Bruce Gaunce and a sister Juanita Gaunce.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday in the Carlisle Cemetery Chapel by Bro. Jimmy Caswell with burial to follow.
