Phyllis Jean Gaunce Price, 72, widow of Bobby Gene Price, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Nicholas County Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born July 19, 1938 in Nicholas County to the late Fritz and Nell Richey Gaunce, lived most of her life in the Saltwell community, was a devoted homemaker and member of the Saltwell United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 3 children, Ricky (Edith) Price, Mt. Sterling, Nyiri (Jon) Stacy & Jimmy (Dana) Price, Carlisle, 6 grandchildren, Bobby Price, Chad (Dana) Price, Jeria Stacy, Bradley (Jenny) Price, Kyle Price & Brandon "Boo" Price, 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson Reed Price, Chad Tyler Price & Charles Dawson Price.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Gaunce.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
