Rosa Mae Moreland, 88, widow of Quinton Moreland, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

She was born December 13, 1921 in Fayette Co. to the late Luther & Candice Peck Peters, was a former employee of Bluegrass Industries, a retired dairy farmer, a member of First Baptist Church of Carlisle and attended Barterville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Turner (Lenore) Moreland, Carlisle, a brother, Robert Allen Peters, Louisville, 2 granddaughters, Karen (C.J.) Hafley & Tracey (Chris) Bussell, Carlisle, 6 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Hubbard, Justin Jones, Jordan Bussell, Allison Bussell, Shavonne Edwards & Shelby Bussell and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Greg, Elmer & Ellis Peters and 2 sisters, Lucille Stone & Alma Curtis.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Bro. Justin Jones & Rev. Donald Riggs. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
