Roy Wells Waggoner, 98, widower of Sue Allison Sampson Waggoner, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at his home.

He was born July 2, 1910 in Nicholas Co. to the late William Edgar & Oma Belle Curtis Waggoner, was a retired farmer and member of the Blue Licks Christian Church.

He is survived by 2 sons, Kirk (Mardi) Waggoner and Danny (Tressia) Sampson, and a daughter, Judy Waggoner, all of Carlisle, a sister Beulah McIntosh, Evansville, IN, 4 grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Kilcoyne, Mark (Karen) Sampson, Tim Sampson, and Kami (Mike) Saunders, and 5 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth & Kathleen Kilcoyne, Emmaline & Kyle Saunders and Benjamin Sampson.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Waggoner.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Tony Smith. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Friday.
