Ruby Phillips Small, 89, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 9, 1918 in Nicholas Co. to the late George and Pearl Wagoner Small, was a retired Jockey employee and a member of the Rose Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a niece, Peggy Bare, seven nephews, Bobby, Ronnie and Gary Small, Donnie and Jerry Earlywine, Larry Small and Russell Fryman and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Gracie B. Earlywine and Maudie B. Fryman, two brothers, George W. Small and Reynolds Small and a nephew, Allen Earlywine.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. James Gaunce. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Grand Haven Nursing Home Activities Fund or the Harrison County Senior Citizens.

Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
