Ruth Harriet Brooks Allison, 82, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

Born November 9, 1932 in West Union, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late James B. & Ellen Stanlick Brooks, a former employee of Gardens, Inc. and waitress at the Speckled Perch while living in Florida and loved to fish in her free time.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Allen (Betty) Allison, her former husband and special friend, Edgar J. Allison, both of Carlisle, a step-daughter, Leslie Kay Allison Younger, of Batavia, Ohio, 2 grandchildren, Larry Thomas (Rebekka) Allison, Jr. and Tammy Lyn Williams, 2 great-grandchildren, Ashton Nicole Reed and Zachary Williams, and 5 step-grandchildren living in Ohio. She will be dearly missed by her constant companion Fuzzy.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Larry Thomas Allison, 2 brothers, Harry & Thomas Brooks, 6 sisters, Merlee Hodge, Elva Musser, Shirley Sutterfield, Ellen Alsgood, Leona Stephenson & Evelyn Alsgood, and an infant brother.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday.
